About ConvertPix
ConvertPix started from a simple frustration: most "free" image converters make you upload your private photos to a stranger's server, wait in a queue, dodge ads disguised as download buttons, and sometimes get a watermark slapped on the result. We thought there had to be a better way.
Modern browsers are powerful. They can decode and re-encode images on their own, with no server involved. So we built ConvertPix around that idea: every conversion happens on your own device. Your image is read into your browser's memory, converted, and handed back to you. It never travels across the internet, and the moment you close the tab it is gone.
What we believe
- Privacy by default. The safest place for your files is your own computer. We keep them there.
- Free, genuinely. No accounts, no trials, no watermarks. We cover our costs with unobtrusive ads.
- Fast and simple. Drop a file, click a button, download. No clutter.
How we keep it free
Running a website costs money. We show a small number of clearly-labelled ads to cover hosting. That is the entire business model — we never sell data, because we never collect your files in the first place.
