Why use ConvertPix?

  • Your files stay private. Conversion happens locally in your browser using HTML Canvas — nothing is uploaded to a server, so no one else can ever see your images.
  • No sign-up, no watermark, no limits. Convert as many images as you like, completely free.
  • Fast and lightweight. Because there is no upload or download round-trip to a server, conversions are nearly instant.
  • Works everywhere. Any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS.

Supported formats

PNG

PNG is a lossless format that keeps every pixel intact and supports a full alpha (transparency) channel. Files are larger than JPG but quality never degrades.

JPG

JPG (JPEG) uses lossy compression to make small files, which is why it is the default for photographs across the web. It does not support transparency.

WebP

WebP is a modern Google format that compresses 25-35% smaller than JPG and PNG at similar quality, while supporting both transparency and animation.

GIF

GIF is an older format limited to 256 colours per frame, best known for simple animations. For single still images, PNG or WebP are smaller and sharper.

BMP

BMP is an uncompressed raster format from early Windows. It preserves every pixel but produces very large files, so it is mainly used for compatibility with legacy software.

AVIF

AVIF is a next-generation format based on the AV1 video codec, offering the smallest files of any common format at a given quality, with transparency and HDR support.

ICO

ICO is the Windows icon container, used for application icons and website favicons. It can hold one or more small images, typically 16x16 up to 256x256 pixels.
